Inca Trail Trek & Amazon Experience

A wildlife and culture-packed journey from the Amazon to the Andes

Experience the highlights of Peru on this 12-day adventure. After getting to know your new travel friends over some Pisco sours in Lima, make your way to the steamy jungles of the Amazon to disconnect in a jungle lodge and discover the creatures that call the rainforest home. Then head to the highlands to lace up your boots on the Inca Trail, connect with local communities in the Sacred Valley and fill your camera roll with a gazillion shots of Machu Picchu. Spend a few days in Cusco exploring a maze of old alleys, Inca temples and Andean flavors before returning to Lima where your epic journey began.

Why you'll love this trip

  • Tackle one of South America’s most iconic treks – the Inca Trail – with a crew of local porters, expert trekking guides and a cook who'll keep you (very) well fed.
  • Explore the interesting blend of cultures in the markets, artisan neighborhoods and plazas of Cusco and get insider tips from your leader to make the most of your free time in South America's oldest continuously inhabited city.
  • Journey deep into the Peruvian Amazon on a motorized canoe to sleep in a jungle lodge, explore rainforest trails and learn about Indigenous plant remedies with a local guide.
  • Meet one of the communities we support in the Sacred Valley to learn about their traditions and share an earth oven meal – a cooking method dating back to Inca times.
  • Join a local guide for a deep dive into Machu Picchu – a legendary Inca citadel and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World – and uncover stories of the civilization that built it.
